We are seeking an exceptional sales leader to join our DoD team as Inside Sales Manager. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Public Sector Digital Sales. In addition to requisite passion, skills and experience, the successful candidate will have a measurable track record in building and managing high performing inside sales teams. This individual will play a key role in driving a significant share of revenue for Splunk.
What you'll get to do
Directly manage the inside sales team and work closely with outside sales management and account managers
Consistently deliver on aggressive revenue targets to provide double digit growth on an annual basis
Strong ethics to coach and audit pipeline for reps
Player/coach: Hands on with the team; very involved with sales calls, territory/opportunity management, and strategy
Responsible for accurately forecasting on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis. This will require, but not be limited to holding weekly forecast reviews and deal strategy sessions
Support Sr. Manager of Public Sector Digital Sales in implementing strategic initiatives and promoting a high energy, high activity environment
Work with partners for maximum effectiveness and territory expansion
Leverage sales engineering in house as well as partner services resources
Hire, train, and retain the right team to match our growth
Good corporate citizen – two way flow of relevant and timely information; work as a team for the most efficient use and deployment of resources
Provide timely and insightful input back to other corporate functions, particularly product management and marketing
Write performance reviews for direct reports and present to the ISR’s
Must-have Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
2+ years’ experience building and running a Digital Sales sales team; ability to grow and scale upward with the company; second line management experience a plus
4+ years B2B software sales or leadership experience
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, written and presentation skills
Thrives in a fast-paced, high growth, rapidly changing environment
Use CRM systems (Salesforce) extensively
Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis

Sales forecasting experience
Prior experience in an Account Management/Inside Sales role

Note:
OTE Pay Ranges
For sales roles the ranges are expressed as On Target Earning or OTE (OTE = base + incentives in the form of sales incentive plans).
SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area
On Target Earnings: $184,000.00 - 253,000.00 per year
California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), New York (excludes NYC Metro Area), and all other states.
On Target Earnings: $160,000.00 - 220,000.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the On Target Earnings (OTE) range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the OTE pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to OTE, this role may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
