Job Title: ERP Business Analyst for EMCOR Construction Services

Location: McLean, VA

Reports to: Director of ERP Implementations

FLSA Status: Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The ERP Business Analyst provides ERP support and analysis to EMCOR Construction Services (ECS) companies. Systems supported include primarily Vista applications and other business systems.

ECS HQ is based out of McLean, Virginia. However, remote work will be considered in other locations. Travel up to 40% by car (as a passenger or driver) or by airplane.

Compensation Range: $ 100,000 - $125,000

Other Compensation: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus in accordance with Company policy

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties likely will be assigned.

  • Support the ERP implementation team with focus on operations application and business processes.

  • Respond to end user requests for assistance; troubleshoot reported issues and work closely with the Application Administrator using ticketing system.

  • Develop and document business, technical system and application processes, functions and procedures.

  • Manage other ERP and ECS initiatives and projects as requested; may require analysis of financial and other reports, report preparation, training and other documentation.

  • Knowledgeable of the construction phase of capital projects life cycle (concept to design and build through operations and maintenance).

  • Understanding of project accounting processes and principles in a construction environment.

  • Possess excellent organizational skills and self-direction; work independently with limited supervision, exercise initiative within established procedural guidelines, and organize and prioritize work to meet established deadlines.

  • Have exceptional communication skills, written and; oral, capable of leading meetings in a professional manner.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to read and interpret communication styles of diverse team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.

  • Be a proactive agent for change and competently follow through on initiatives to conclusion.

QUALIFICATIONS

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • 5 - 10 years working in an accounting department, preferably with other mechanical or electrical construction or union contractors.

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Working knowledge of the construction industry, operations management, and safety practices a plus

  • Working knowledge of Vista software

PREFERRED SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Business writing and reporting skills

  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Time management skills – ability to meet frequent deadlines

  • Strategic, analytical, and multi-tasking skills

  • Attention to detail

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel).

  • Experience with Viewpoint Vista is required

The employee should be able to work at a computer (reading and keying) for extended periods of time.
