Northrop Grumman Space Sector Business Systems and Tools team is seeking a Business Process Analyst to be the focal point for Rates and Budgets leading the sustainment and enhancement efforts for Space Sector IBM Planning Analytics models. This individual will be the liaison between technology teams and the business, facilitating, developing, and driving business processes and solutions. This position will be located in McLean VA. May consider a remote working scenario for this role.

  • Strong project management skills (to include the ability to set and maintain accountability to execution schedules and commitments).

  • Ability to maneuver changing demands, requirements and technology, utilizing both diplomacy and flexibility to balance requirements, technology sustainment, efficiencies, quality and compliance.

  • Completing requirements in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.

  • Knowledgeable about constraints associated with compliance, reporting requirements, upstream/downstream systems.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Acting as a liaison between technology teams and Sector Rates and Budgets to help develop and sustain requirements and processes for IBM Planning Analytics Rates and Budgets tools, Space Rates and Budgets (SPRB) and Northrop Grumman Rates and Budgets (NGRB).

  • Identifying opportunities for technology insertion for operational efficiency.

  • Troubleshooting system issues and supporting harmonization.

  • Developing requirements, business cases, test plans, test scripts, training, and documentation.

  • Accountable for systems and tools impact to process efficiency and data integrity/integration.

  • Maintaining consistent communication with business and technology teams.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Related field with 6+ years of Finance/Accounts Receivable experience - OR - a Master's degree with 4+ year of Finance/Accounts Receivable experience.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Related field with 10+ years of Finance/Accounts Receivable experience - OR - a Master's degree with 8+ year of Finance/Accounts Receivable experience.

Additional Basic qualifications for both levels:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite - specifically MS Excel and MS Word.

  • Defense Contractor Rates and Budgets experience.

  • Ability to effectively communicate well with all levels of the organization.

  • Experience with data integration, requirements gathering, system definition development and documentation, as well as project management.

  • Demonstrated ability to support complex operations while collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to understand and document a technical business process as well as comprehend a policy and translate into a process flow.

  • Experience facilitating and driving decisions and actionable plans.

  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP and/or Costpoint.

  • IBM Planning Analytics experience.

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excel add-in for Planning Analytics (PAX) experience.

  • Defense contractor forward pricing rate and indirect budgeting development and management experience.

  • IBM Cognos Analytics Dashboard, Query Studio, or Report development experience.

  • PowerBI or Tableau experience.

Salary Range: $88,600 - $146,300

Salary Range 2: $109,900 - $181,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
