SRS Distribution Inc. Tax Analyst in McKinney, Texas

Tax Analyst

Tax Analyst position will be responsible for handling all exemption certificates collected by branches and credit department.All certificates must be checked for validity, dates, signatures, and other information as required by each state and retained in applicable record retention software for audit.The Tax Analyst reports to the Senior Tax Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Check validity of each certificate/permit sent email/fax or record retention inbox.

  • Maintain exempt certificate resource guides and matrix

  • Generate and mail letters regarding upcoming expirations for exempt forms

  • Notify branches or credit department when or if certificates/permits are not properly completed

  • Perform and log monthly audit of exempt sales, organize results and follow-up with missing /invalid certificates.

  • Pull certificates for all audits

  • Monitor Colorado building permit application on a monthly basis. Track results in a management report.

  • Assist other departments and branches with exemption certificate questions

  • Issues exemption certificates for our purchases

  • Assist with other assigned project work, as needed

Requirements:

  • Adapt easily to change, as projects are elevated based on need

  • Ability to prioritize work

  • Work well in a team environment

  • Computer experience

  • Self-starter with strong communication skills
