Raytheon is seeking an Operations Quality Engineer to provide engineering support associated with the production of the Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) within the McKinney CMC factory. Here at Raytheon, our Operations Quality Team assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement.
What You Will Do
Ensure manufacturing processes and product builds comply with Quality and Engineering requirements.
Collaborate with team members, customers, and suppliers in a team environment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for quality, efficiency, and cost.
Provide audit support.
Use critical thinking resources and problem-solving skills.
Complete specialized quality functions such as data preparation, analyses, and reporting.
Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead manufacturing team discussions to drive process enhancements to reduce variation.
Support process improvements initiatives.
Lead and support root cause and corrective action activities
Act on all applicable material, product and equipment alerts to prevent impact to product reliability using the nonconformance and/or purge process
Manage dropped and damaged hardware processing and incident reporting.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or other STEM related field and a minimum two (2) years of experience in the field of quality, operations or manufacturing engineering OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of six (6) years of engineering related experience.
Experience with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management systems
Experience with GD&T, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing measurement resources and practices
Experience with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing documents
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work well with team members, customers, and suppliers
Ability to exercise sound judgement and apply decision-making skills with appropriate supervisory intervention
Experience with First Article Inspections (AS9102) and/or Advanced Product Quality Planning (AS9145)
Perform autonomous, self-guided process and product assessments, root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action.
Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize.
Experience working in an aerospace-related manufacturing environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
