The Raytheon Surveillance Operations Chief Engineering organization is seeking a Factory Chief Engineer (FCE) in the McKinney CMC/RFSI organization to support advanced technology production and development activities with a focus on Advanced Maritime Radar (AMR) products and other RF products built in the CMC/RFSI Surveillance factories in McKinney, TX.

What You Will Do

  • The FCE will work closely with CMC/RFSI, Engineering, and Program leadership teams, program management and program chief engineers to direct program planning, development and integration efforts, and manage the technical integrity and factory execution across programs.

  • Chartered with driving home technical engineering execution, this leadership position requires an understanding of RF electronics assembly and testing in support of multi-function RF systems.

  • The FCE will report to the CMC/RFSI Factory Chief Engineer and will have dotted line technical responsibility for chief engineers/REAs/IPTLs assigned performing on the various CMC/RFSI programs through one or more factories.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 8 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions.

  • Experience leading independent reviews of programs, including Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations.

  • Experience with identifying critical staffing resources to ensure staffing plans address production and development needs.

  • Experience working with Factory Leadership on new product introduction, product improvement plans, and product/technology/manufacturing roadmaps.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with the technical review and approval of all proposals and Gates to ensure feasibility and ability to execute to meet cost/schedule/quality

  • Experience with Raytheon production and development programs, Proven track record of sound decision making

  • Experience with developing and presenting technical briefings to Raytheon Leadership and internal/external customers, Ability to travel as needed.

  • Experience in a cross functional work environment with no direct reports; ability to succeed through influence and building relationships with team members.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
