Solarstall, Inc Construction Equipment Operator Apprentice in Mckinney, Texas
Work to complete Solarstalls project activities while developing practical and professional skills as part of Solarstalls Apprenticeship program. Learn how to operate, inspect, and maintain various types of Construction Equipment. Work fully in accordance with directives from project and construction management, federal, state and local laws and regulations, Quality and HSE standards, and Client project requirements.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive, maneuver and operate designated equipment and machinery. Operate equipment and machinery supporting construction projects under a certified operator's supervision.
- Conduct all w ork in a safe, professional, and cooperative manner as part of construction team.
- Engage in all safety meetings, trainings and discussions and demonstrate your understanding and commitment by exhibiting safe work habits daily.
- Successfully complete all classroom and online training requirements of the registered apprenticeship program in a timely manner as requested by the company.
- Perform any necessary housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Adopt behavior and attitude that aligns with Solarstalls organizational values to achieve the company mission and vision
- Comply with and promote the company requirements established in the company Integrated Management System (IMS), Quality and Health and Safety procedures, and work procedures.

``` - Operate equipment in support of construction projects, which may include, but not limited to: front-end loader, backhoe, excavator, bobcat/skid-steer, skid loader, forklift, man-lift, pile driver. Equipment will be of types commonly used on Solarstall projects. - Monitor the condition of machinery in operation and ensure the implementation of daily maintenance and ope rati onal checks. - Work under the direction of the Solarstall hierarchical manager on each site and with the Solarstall Journeymen to accomplish tasks in accordance with project requirements, company requirements, and regulatory requirements. Work with assigned Solarstall Journeyman and/or the Solarstall hierarchical manager to validate performed activities. - Observe OSHA, NEC, and other regulatory requirements in the performance of work. - Perform and log daily maintenance activities including cleaning and machine inspections according to type of machine. Work with dedicated supervisor to validate performed activities. - Assist operator(s) as needed in performing heavy equipment maintenance activities. - Ensure all equipment operations are accomplished correctly, safely, and in compliance with company and specific equipment safety procedures. Establish a safety cordon and utilize a safety spotter when required. - Observe and report any anomaly or issue with equipment to your dedicated operator and get their approval before operating any equipment. Ensure all measurement equipment has current certified calibration sheets. - Read, understand, and work from drawings, specifications, standards, and or written/verbal instructions under the direct supervision of your dedicated operator. - Accomplish basic paperwork and electronic documents, including but not limited to records for materials used, daily attendance log, and weekly time report as required. - Perform other duties as required.
