Collin County is seeking candidates to fill the position of Building Maintenance Technician I. A Building Maintenance Technician conducts inspections and makes necessary repairs to various structures and mechanical equipment. This position assists with the renovation and remodeling of buildings, monitors energy controls, and performs related duties as required. Work is performed under the direction of the Facilities Technical Coordinator.
Building Maintenance Technicians may be assigned to any Collin County building or rental property including, but not limited to, detention facilities, medical examiners office, animal shelter,courthouse, administrative building, and parks.
Candidates must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Candidates must have achieved a level of education equivalent to four years of high school. At least one year of experience in building maintenance is required. Candidates must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operators Drivers License with an acceptable driving record. ::: ::: ::: :::
