Job Summary

This is a single role posted at multiple levels. The description below is based on the Inspector level position. Additional skills and requirements are needed at the Sr. Level.

Takes a lead role in overseeing work performed by contractor's on AEP electrical facilities. Provides leadership and support as needed within the Contract Coordination Group.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.) Provide leadership support to assist the Contract Coordination Supervisor with job coordination/planning, safety, crew critique, employee development, or other tasks as needed.

2.) Inspect and accept or reject contractor work for compliance to safety, design and construction standards and construction quality.

3.) Assure contracted construction projects flow smoothly.

4.) Resolve customer's concerns associated with work performed by contractors.

5.) Document construction events to protect AEP's interest from future claims.

6.) Assure contractor invoices are accurate, complete and reasonable.

7.) Provide feedback concerning contractor performance to Contract Administration for use in future contracting activities.

8.) Certify acceptability of contractor's work for invoice approval and payment.

9.) Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education requirements are listed below: High school diploma or GED plus a two year' technical degree or 5 yrs distribution construction experience preferred.

Work Experience requirement listed below: Thorough knowledge of distribution work processes, procedures and safety standards. Minimum two years' experience as a Distribution System Inspector or equivalent related experience.

Required License(s)/Certification(s) are listed below: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving safety record

Physical demand level is Sedentary

$70,961.00-88,700.50 USD
