Forklift Operator Job Description
JOB SCOPE:
Individual’s primary responsibilities include safely operating the standup forklift to load, unload & put away product. May also operate other equipment and breakdown and receive products from vendors. The individual’s normal work hours are Monday through Friday. Occasionally it may be necessary for this individual to work outside of their normal scheduled hours; according to business needs. Overtime must be approved by your manager.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on a continual basis.
Attention to detail is a must. Incoming orders must be received and put-away in a timely manner (48 hour window).
Additionally, the receiving department also handles replenishment of stock from bulk bins to primary locations.
Must be able to operate powered material handling equipment (standing Stock Picker forklift) safely. Individual will be certified in use of equipment.
Must be able to meet department productivity KPI standards.
Good work ethics and ability to interface effectively with others in the company.
All work areas must be kept clean and free of debris.
Individual may be assigned to other warehouse duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must be able to read and write English
Ability to learn to use computer and radio frequency devices (RF gun).
Must be forklift certified and be able to use an order picker (train).
Must be reliable and on-time to work each day.
Ability to work with others in a fast-paced team environment.

Employee is required to stand up to 8 hours per day on the forklift. Saturday work is 6 hours in duration and is usually scheduled 2 per month.
