U.S. Army Joint Munitions Command Blocker and Bracer Supervisor in McAlester, Oklahoma

About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at McAlester, Oklahoma. This position serves as supervisor over the Blocker and Bracers (organization, function, and shop), exercising full supervisory responsibility for control over work operations involving subordinate workers. Responsibilities Serve as supervisor exercising responsibility over work operations in planning distribution, prescribing deadlines and day-to-day operations. Establish deadlines and set priorities based on daily assignments. Review work in progress and upon completion. Ensure all personnel, materials and equipment required for operations are at designated work site. Explain all work requirements, methods, procedures, specific hazards and safety precaution to all personnel. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Blocker and Bracer Supervisor without more than normal supervision. ?Must possess the ability to perform common technical and administrative supervisory duties in identifying training needs and implementing training plans; utilizing automated systems to track production and perform blocker and bracer operations. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Lead or Supervise Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Oral Communication Planning and Evaluating Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic) Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This is a(n) Transportation and Distribution Management Career Field position. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This position may require you to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing. This position may require shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 1 year by a current permanent Army employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a temporary appointment will be appointed/converted into a Temporary appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
