Cisco Mechanical Engineer in Maynard, Massachusetts

Meet the Team:
Acacia designs intelligent transceivers using advanced signal processing and photonic integration for the 100G, 400G and 1T bit speed fiber optic transmission market deployed in data center, metro, long-haul and ultra-long haul telecommunication networks.
Your Impact:
Things you may do as a Mechanical Engineer
Design and modify CAD parts and assemblies using SolidWorks©
Evaluate complex thermal systems and interactions
Develop assembly drawings and maintain BOM’s
Collaborate and support a cross functional design and manufacturing team
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S, in Mechanical Engineering
1-2 years of relevant job experience, or relevant prior Coop and/or internship experience
Proficiency in SolidWorks©
Prior experience of advanced machining practices, molding and die casting, sheet metal
Hands on internship experience with prototyping and fabrication • Working knowledge of FEA analysis and tolerancing
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience with complex micro-electromechanical design and tolerancing
Familiarity with CircuitWorks©
Hand-on experience with FloTherm or equivalent thermal simulation tools
Experience with airflow testing, data acquisition, and thermal dynamics
