Job Title: Tool and Die Maker

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing Transfer and Progressive Dies, setting up Dies in the press, and troubleshooting both inside and outside of the press. This role involves industrial maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting on machines, and general maintenance tasks. Additional duties include machining parts using Manual Mills and Lathes, tool cutting, welding (MIG, ARC, Stick & Tig), fabrication, and blueprint reading. Candidates must be capable of lifting up to 50lbs and using overhead cranes and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage Transfer and Progressive Dies

• Set up Dies in the press

• Troubleshoot dies inside and outside of the press

• Perform industrial maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting on machines

• Conduct general maintenance tasks

• Machine parts using Manual Mills and Lathes

• Perform tool cutting and welding (MIG, ARC, Stick & Tig)

• Conduct fabrication tasks

• Read and interpret blueprints

• Lift up to 50lbs

• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts

Essential Skills

• Journeyman card or 8 years of tool and die experience

• Ability to operate manual machines to machine parts

• Proficiency in using Manual Mills and Lathes

• Strong attendance record

• Experience in tool and die, blueprint reading, machining, repair, and troubleshooting

• Skilled in die repair, stamping, grinding, die setting, hydraulics, micrometer use, die maintenance, manual machining, and surface grinding

Work Environment

The position is for the 2nd shift, running from 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday to Friday, for a total of 40 hours per week. The facility operates under a union agreement with UAW Local 12, and new hires are inducted into the union after 45 days.

The pay range for this position is $76960.00 - $76960.00
