ROLE OVERVIEW:

As an Operations Manager, you will oversee all aspects of manufacturing, engineering, and production within a single plant, ensuring seamless coordination and efficiency across multiple teams. This role is responsible for managing key operational areas, including Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations, Repair & Maintenance, Production Planning & Control, Quality Assurance, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS). With a focus on optimizing processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving operational excellence, you will lead cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, safety, and overall plant performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the manufacture of products, provides strategic direction to ensure production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Reviews and analyzes production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
  • Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with EH&S department.
  • Partners with Senior leadership team on long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
  • Develops training opportunities for professional staff to build and improve skills.
  • Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
  • Works with senior leadership to develop operating budget.
  • Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
  • Approves equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

     

Education and Experience:

  • Typically possesses a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 12 or more years of relevant experience.

     

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
  • Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing division.
  • Ability to set long-term goals and inspire others on it.
  • Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and any other relevant software
