POSITION SUMMARY: The Intern will provide support to AtriCure's compliance program. The Intern will gain exposure to healthcare compliance and transparency laws while working closely with compliance team members on the completion of department objectives key to AtriCure's business. Duties include auditing and monitoring, tracking and trending of the monitoring and investigation results, conducting data analysis, and assisting with the compilation of transparency reports, reviewing and updating compliance policies with support from team leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving and time management skills as well as excellent attention to detail. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Review and organize transparency data for submission to the government Review, sort, and analyze data from multiple systems Monitor compliance with key program initiatives Track and trend monitoring results and compliance incidents statistics Maintain compliance logs Develop graphs and charts depicting compliance monitoring and auditing results Assist with corporate policy and procedure drafting Review training materials and run reports on training completion metrics Other duties as assigned, depending on the candidate's unique skillsets ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Regular and predictable work performance Ability to work under fast paced conditions Ability to make decisions and use good judgment Ability to prioritize various duties and multitask as required Ability to successfully work with others Additional duties as assigned BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program focused on social sciences, compliance, law, or pre-law.
