Hours/Schedule

Employment Type: Full Time

Shift: Days

Hours: 36wk (72 PP)

Position Purpose:

MercyOne recognizes that certain Cath Lab positions (such as Cath Lab Nurses) require on-site training and practical experience, and that it would be in the best interest of both MercyOne and potential candidates for these positions to sponsor a Training Program for Cath Lab Nurses interested in gaining the practical experience required to move into these roles.

What you will Do:

The Cath Lab Training Program is for a period of up to six (6) months. The Training Program is on an at-will basis and participants may be removed from the Training Program, with or without cause, at any time as determined appropriate by MercyOne in its sole discretion. Successful completion of the Training Program does not modify the at-will nature of the employment relationship, nor does it guarantee that the Trainee will be selected for hire.

Participants who successfully complete the Training Program will be eligible for a Full-Time Cath Lab RN role.

If Trainee ends employment prior to fulfilling their employment commitment (18 months of full time employment) a repayment plan will be developed in partnership with Human Resources.

Trainee will be responsible for attending all lectures, demonstrations, or other presentations. In addition, since much of the Training Program focuses on learning by watching and doing, Trainee will perform any and all duties now and later assigned to Trainee by MercyOne. Trainee will also perform such other duties as are customarily performed by one holding such a position in other settings as that engaged in by MercyOne. In addition, Trainee must abide by MercyOne's rules, regulations, and practices, including those concerning work schedules, paid time off, as they currently exist and may from time-to-time be adopted or modified.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of a program in professional nursing.

Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa.

No experience required, on the job training.
