Description:
Position Purpose
CT Technologist maintains all standards of the Computed Tomography (CT) area established by the Imaging Department.
What you will do
Performs CT examination per policy/procedure
Demonstrates excellence customer service to internal and external customers
Supports CT quality assurance programs per ACR regulations
Follows all CT policy, procedures and practices as defined in department and CT policy manual
Monitors CT area for safety and utilizes safe radiation practices
Ensure proper working of all equipment and communicates with appropriate service personnel
Demonstrates competency of image management utilizing RIS, HIS, PACS and AW workstation
Hours/Schedule
36 hours/week; Primarily daytime shifts with varied hours; Rotating days/weekends/holidays.
Minimum Qualifications
Education [formal]:
Must be credentialed in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ( ARRT).
Must possess current IDPH Permit to Practice.
Must be credentialed in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire date.
Experience:
Demonstrated competence in CT preferred
Special Skills and Competencies:
Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card prior to employment or within 60 days of hire and maintains current status.
Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
