Description:

Position Purpose:

This position accepts the responsibility and accountability for assisting with the physiological, hemodynamic, and radiographic monitoring, and assists with the cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. Assists the RN with patient care and patient/family education.

What you will Do:

  • Provides competent patient care to the above indicated patient populations by obtaining and appropriately interpreting data, making appropriate decisions based on demonstrated knowledge of age-specific growth and development, and appropriately adapting procedures and treatments.

  • Effectively communicates pertinent patient changes/conditions to coworkers and to multidisciplinary caregivers.

  • Assists the physician directly in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilizing sterile technique, and following departmental policies and procedures.

  • Assists in and supervises the acquisition and analysis of physiologic, hemodynamic, angiographic data.

  • Supports and abides by all medical center, departmental, and safety policies and procedures. Proactively identifies safety concerns surrounding the work environment.

  • Maintains active logons/passwords for computer software systems that support patient care and education.

  • Enters on-line charges for patient-care services; accountable for revenue reconciliation and charge error correction as needed.

Hours/Schedule:

Full Time, Day Shift (1 day on call and every 4th weekend)

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technology Program with current credentialing or board eligible and pass RCIS board exam within 18 months of start date

a. Agency staff – required to be graduate and RCIS credentialed at hire. OR

Graduate of a Radiological Technology Program with current licensure or board eligible and pass ARRT board exam or pass RCIS board exam within 18 months of start date

a. Agency staff – required to be graduate and RT(R) credentialed at hire. OR

Graduate of Licensed Practical Nursing program with current licensure or board eligible and pass NCLEX-PN exam or pass RCIS board exam within 18 months of hire OR

Graduate of Surgical Technology program with current credentialing or board eligible and pass CST certification or pass RCIS exam within 18 months of start date OR

Graduate of Respiratory Technology program with current licensure or board eligible and pass RRT board exam or pass RCIS board exam within 18 months of start date OR

Graduate of Paramedic program with current credentialing or board eligible and pass NREMT certification or pass RCIS exam within 18 months of start date.

Clinical experience in cardiology, cardiac cath lab,or procedural units preferred​
