The Union Soil and Water Conservation District is now hiring a full-time District Technician to support our mission of protecting and conserving the natural resources of Union County. This position reports directly to the District Administrator and involves performing a variety of field and office technical duties to assist in the effective delivery of conservation programs and services. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct field visits to assess soil and water conservation needs.
• Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of conservation projects.
• Maintain accurate records of project data, field observations, and client interactions.
• Provide technical support to landowners and stakeholders in conservation practices.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and educational materials.
• Collaborate with other local agencies and partners on conservation initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study; one (1) or more years of related experience and/or training; experience may be considered in lieu of education; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Selected candidate must undergo Ohio and federal background checks. The final offer of employment will be contingent on the findings of these checks. LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain insurability under the SWCD vehicle insurance policy.
