Position Details:

Title: ASME Authorized Inspector/Authorized Inspector Trainee

Location: Federalsburg, MD Shift: 1 st shift

Compensation: $34 - $36.5/hour + OT (depending on experience) Benefits: Bureau Veritas offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Life and Disability Insurance as well as generous PTO.

Travel: Required – occasional overnights, depending on territory Vaccine Requirement: the COVID19 vaccine is not required

Position Description: As an Authorized Inspector you will travel to client sites to perform ASME/NB shop and field inspection services to assigned clients, including review and verification, implementation and applicability of the manufacturers written quality control system and/or inspection specifications. \

Additional responsibilities include:

 Monitors client quality control systems for compliance with relevant codes and requirements.

 Documents quality controlsystemsinspection activities per established policies.

 Ensures compliance with applicable sections of the ASME Code, National Board and jurisdictional requirements for fabrication activities and authorized inspection services. Prior to becoming an Authorized Inspector, you will need to complete a training period that includes attending a 2-week long American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)/National Board training/certification commissions school in Columbus, OH (all expenses paid). Experiences we are looking for:

 High school diploma (REQUIRED) and equivalent (Military) work experience, or a bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

 3-5 years of boiler and/or high-pressure steam and water system maintenance and operation experience

 4+ years of mechanical experience with Boilers and Pressure Vessels in a power plant, either Nuke or conventional

 MM/BT, or an SRO and/or a Steam PPWO/EOOW 3+ years

 Navy Nuke EM or ET with a minimum of 3yrs qualified SRO experience

 Quality Assurance inspections of mechanical equipment, water, and steam systems

 Boiler and/orsteam system maintenance and operation

 Inspections on mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems

 NBIC Boiler Inspector Qualification a plus

 Insurance inspection service experience involving risk-based inspections and analysis

 Computer skills: Microsoft Office and web-based applications (REQUIRED)
