GovCIO Project Coordinator 3 in Martinsburg, West Virginia
Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring a Project Manager to support the VA experience to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) ATO Project Management team tooversee the day to day operations, develop project plans on meeting deadlines, and reaching milestones along with collaboration with other team managers, stakeholders and Information System Security Officers (ISSO) to establish efficient team utilization.
Responsibilities
Certify all phases of the risk assessment
Ensure documents, policies, plans and procedures align with NIST SP800-37, NST SP800-53
Attend work groups, meeting and other technical exchanges to help develop a project plans that align all team activities with Authority to Operate (ATO) standards
Organizes and visualizes team work
Captures notes, themes, and action items from meetings and discussions and determines next steps
Interact daily with SalientCRGT and VA management to interpret their needs and requirements.
Review system documentation (Security Plans, Risk Assessments, Network Diagrams and SOPs) to further help develop and manage project outcomes and deliverable metrics
Conduct weekly, monthly or ad hoc meetings to ensure teams are meeting project deadlines and to gather feedback on how to improve on current processes
Oversee approved routine maintenance implementation on applicable network security devices and applications.
Develop a road map to lay out short and long term goals and account for deviations resulting in potential schedule changes
Provide mentorship to team personnel.
Maintain existing and develop new processes and procedures to improve intra and inter-team operability and communication.
Enforce SalientCRGT, VA NOC, and intra-team policies and performance standards.
Assignresponsibilitiesand monitor tasks and project status.
Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and techniques.
Ensures action items and milestones are fully documented, are being worked satisfactorily, and completed as planned
Problem solver who assesses requests, determines the necessary tasks, then organizes the team to successfully accomplish the work
Coordinates and schedules meetings
Flexibility, ingenuity, creativity, diplomacy, and a willingness to learn and adapt
Proficient in use of Microsoft tools – PowerPoint, MS Teams, Word, and Excel
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 5-8 years of experience. 5 years of additional experience maybe substituted for degree.
Active PMP or CAPM Certification required. If you do not have either of the certification, it must be able to obtain within 6 months of employment.
Must be able to pass and maintain a Tier 4 (BI) Government Background Investigation
Responsibilities
Must be knowledgeable of financial and project management functions. Develops budgets and work schedules according to project requirements. Responsible for cost estimation and control. Monitors project progress and makes adjustments as needed. Coordinates interdepartmental participation to meet project requirements. Maintains lines of communication among project team members. May be responsible for risk management. Must be available to address the needs of the project effort. May have acquired CAPM(PMI).
Reports project progress to management.
Responsible for addressing employee and work-related issues relevant to the project effort.
Arranges logistics for meetings, conferences, training, and other project-related events.
Organizes project committee meetings and prepares the necessary materials, including reports, presentations, agendas and other meeting collateral.
Transcribes and records key decisions and action items resulting from meetings.
Must be capable of performing various financial analytics including forecasting and variance analysis
Gathers, compiles and reports on information relevant to the project.

Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Posted Salary Range
USD $71,150.00 - USD $113,850.00 /Yr.
