What You'll Do Ability to troubleshoot all aspects of Medium/High Voltage equipment for an industrial steel production facility Lead facility's annual testing and inspection requirements Diagnose and remedy complex problems related to incoming power irregularities and substation problems Diagnose and remedy complex problems related to transformer protection Relays, complex faults and trips in all protective Assist in developing other team member's skills and knowledge Serve as Shift Supervisor in his/her absence and provide supervisory support, as necessary Install, monitor, inspect, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability of all electrical, electronic control systems and components, process equipment, and AC/DC utilities Perform troubleshooting and repair or replacement of defective and damaged parts Learn and maintain the variety of electromechanical starters and motors using sophisticated electronic interface boards, VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and controllers Procure supplies and spare parts to ensure effective and timely maintenance of equipment Maintain and revise instruction manuals, drawings, schematics, maintenance logs, and other documentation, as required Performs other duties as assigned
