Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Account Representative to join our team based in Marshall, Michigan. The Account Representative will be a critical point of contact for our customers, sales teams, operations teams, accounting teams, and corporate teams, ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met and exceeded. This role leverages a range of skills, from communication to computer/order entry, continuous improvement, and customer service. 100% onsite, M-F, 8am-5pm, some opportunities for over-time.
Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary communication link between customers, sales teams, operations teams, accounting teams, and corporate teams.
• Manage customer accounts, including processing return goods authorizations, credit memos, and debit memos.
• Maintain proficiency in JD Edwards system, using it to enter orders, estimates, and new cash customers accurately.
• Assist and communicate with outside sales representatives regarding all aspects of customer accounts.
• Address customer complaints, problems or questions via fax, phone, or email, working to find optimal solutions.
• Take on a leadership role in Continuous Improvement Projects, leveraging a strong understanding of manufacturing and customer order systems.
• Facilitate customer qualifications and requirements, answering more in-depth product knowledge questions.
• Travel to meet customers, meet salespeople, and visit other facilities as needed.
• Participate in new customer conference calls and process verbal and emailed orders from customers.
• Follow-up on production of material as necessary and notify customers of production delays and special concerns.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years experience in an Account Manager position or similar.
• Proficient with Outlook and MS Excel
• Ability to take tasks from start to finish independently
• Ability to understand the industry and all pieces of the process
• Experience with CRM and About Time software.
• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions and Billing Functions.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
