Hologic is seeking a Commercial Operations Analyst responsible for partnering with the Commercial Oncology leadership through sales analysis and decision support. The position reports to Senior Director, Sales Excellence as part of the Commercial Operations team within the Diagnostics division. With support and guidance from the Senior Director this position will enable the deployment of appropriate analytical models, leverage disparate data sources and help facilitate sound business decisions by the management team that drive commercial excellence. The Commercial Operations Analyst will work closely with the marketing team in the development and evaluation of innovative marketing programs and will also be responsible for setting territory quotas, tracking territory performance and will playing an advisory role in managing incentive compensation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sales Performance & KPI Reporting: Working with Sales leadership, identify and measure key performance indicators for the Sales organization. Develop timely, accurate, and insightful reports and analysis to field Sales, Sales and Sales management related to sales performance.

  • Territory Optimization & Alignment: Develop robust models to quantify workload within sales territories and recommend optimal alignments to sales management. Manage the quarterly territory alignment process for the division and sales team(s) of focus.

  • Quota Methodology: Develop, execute and maintain predictive quota setting methodologies to ensure fair and accurate quota setting for the field sales organization. A focus on continuous improvement is essential to refine and optimize methodology and performance distribution.

  • Commercial Planning, Reporting & Analysis: Create and distribute relevant analysis necessary to support the Commercial organization such as Marketing program analytics and various ad hoc analyses. Reports should be management friendly and analysis should be completed in a timely manner with high quality. Reports should be actionable focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs), market trends and revenue opportunities.

  • CRM: Support activities by Sales and Sales Management in CRM (Salesforce) primarily focused on dashboards, reports and territory management to optimize Sales performance.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

  • Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Expertise in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with reporting packages such as Oracle, QlikSense, Power BI, Tableau

  • Familiarity with Salesforce (SF) reporting and dashboard development as well as territory planning/mapping tools

  • Ability to match/merge databases to facilitate appropriate analyses is required

  • Ability to work independently and be a team player

  • Must be able to travel regularly to various Hologic sites and sales meetings as needed

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Statistics or other Social Sciences discipline with an aptitude and training for quantitative analysis required, Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in an analytical support role required

  • Prior sales support experience preferably in healthcare sector desired

This position is a hybrid role; required to report into our San Diego, CA or Marlborough, MA office, minimum 3 days a week.

The annualized base salary range for this role is $67,700 to $95,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
