Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
Represent Sourcing during scheduled functional reviews and prepare Sourcing Review templates for leadership Business Reviews for NPI programs
Engage with Supplier Quality Engineers to drive a robust process on Supplier Selection, Supplier qualification and monitoring Supplier Performance KPIs in order to develop supply base ability to deliver value
Work effectively with technology, supplier quality, site materials and supply chain personnel on day-to-day problem resolutions, engineering change process and improvement opportunities
Lead assigned sourcing initiatives and develop sourcing strategy to drive product lines deflation, sole source elimination, supplier early engagement, supplier on time delivery, supplier MOQ/lead-time reduction/VMI programs.
Partner with key commodity sourcing leaders to align sourcing strategy, initiatives and leverage volumes globally and regionally
Engage the business leadership team to develop sourcing programs / processes
Conduct qualification & competitive analysis of vendor products / services
Develop, plan, and manage programs to meet GE purchasing commitments in Sourcing
Manage the complete purchasing and contracts ( MSA, NDA and Bailments)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Business Management)
Minimum of 5 years Sourcing / Purchasing experience in a major industrial environment
Desired Characteristics
Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited, reference verification and background check.
Must have unrestricted Canadian work authorization, or obtain work authorization in the short term.
Proven change agent with excellent facilitative leadership and problem-solving skills
Minimum of 10 years strategic sourcing experience
Knowledge/expertise of Grid Automation product lines, electronic components and mechanical assemblies
Ability to collaborate with remote team across time zones
Solid oral/written communication and influencing skills
Interpretation of purchasing contracts, industry standards, regulatory requirement documents
Project management and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Expertise with negotiations and related analytical skills
Strong computer skills (Outlook, Windows, Excel)
Leadership skills and ability to direct a cross functional team
Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily
Exposure to international contract agreements
Highly motivated, self-directed and self-sufficient
Purchasing system / Oracle experience
