Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Program Management group. This role requires solid communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team to successfully deliver major capital projects. You will be working within our Ontario team and initially assigned to work directly on a client site project. The initial project will be for a public agency supporting public transportation in Toronto. Our goal is to find a talented and qualified Project Coordinator to support one of our Project Managers and provide value-added service for our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to meet deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.

  • Perform and support project management activities as assigned by and in support of the client’s needs.

  • Development and maintenance of various reports and logs for Construction Management.

  • Gather data to produce and distribute detailed and summary project management reports.

  • Ensure project deliverables are in accordance with the applicable project requirements.

  • Follow document control processes and procedures established for project functions.

  • Attend and participate in project meetings and provide support as required, e.g., record minutes, etc.

  • Adhere to client standards and Stantec’s internal procedures.

  • Provide general team project and office support as required.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to solve problems.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Detail-oriented and resourceful.

  • Ability to successfully work both collaboratively and independently.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, including Visual Basic Application in Excel and Word.

  • Ability to design or modify software, systems, and applications using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

  • Proficiency in data management.

  • Positive attitude with strong relationship building skills.

  • Experience with standard software tools, e.g., SharePoint, etc. would be an asset

Education and Experience

  • 1-2 years of related project coordination experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bachelor degree/technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in a related field: or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Prior experience working in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction field would be an asset
