What you will do

This Position supports several distinct business units: Skin Health, Self-Care, as well as Baby Care, Oral Care, Wound Care, Hair Care and Nutritionals in Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • The Associate Manager, Medical Sciences and Medical Information will be responsible for handling medical information escalations received via the Company Call Center from HCPs and consumers. Communicate medical information, handle product complaints (AEs and PQCs), complex inquiries, medical compensation requests and complex ingredient related information.

  • Research and evaluate medical literature related to our products and the therapeutic areas in which we market products as well as create standard language for product information reference manuals including FAQs for call centers, media issues and publications.

  • Support professional marketing by training sales force call centers and other business partners on scientific information in support of new and marketed products. Participate in KOL advisory boards, support Pharmaceutical Advertising Advisory Board (PAAB) challenges, review continuing medical education copy created by HCPs and sponsored by Kenvue, and provide comments to proposed changes to existing Canadian Medical treatment algorithms.

  • Determine appropriate standards of evidence, review published clinicals & their implications for HCPs/sales team, craft reactive statements, and gather advertising claim substantiation in support of base business as well as competitor claims challenges. Gather support for incremental claims unique to Canada in partnership with commercial.

  • Review promotional content across therapeutic areas in accordance with local therapeutic considerations for Canada.

  • Gather support for changes to scheduling proposed by Kenvue or competitors for NAPRA scheduling.

  • Provide knowledge support and clarification of science, as needed, and conduct literature searches.

  • Create standard language for product information reference manuals used by company call centers including FAQs for new product launches, media issues, and publications.

  • Participate in creation of medical training materials and programs that are used to support initial and ongoing training for new employees. Train employees who require in depth scientific, medical knowledge of our products or therapeutic areas.

  • Create and develop strategically targeted information in response to published scientific literature, news media releases, marketing initiatives, product recalls, or new or highly publicized medical discoveries or information.

  • Attend key medical/pharmacy professional meetings to gain knowledge as it relates to the therapeutic areas in which we market products and to provide medical information support.

  • Lead the provision of medical and technical information pertaining to the Pain, Naturals and Global portfolio. Provide medical and scientific expertise to claims and new product innovation, develop medical strategies for company products, develop medical content for congresses, symposia, and advisory boards and provide medical knowledge and support to other functional areas.

  • Prepare and review scientific documents including but not limited to Aggregate Safety Reports, Company Core Data Sheets and company publications.

  • Help to shape overall medical affairs strategy and other areas by evaluating global innovation and new product development opportunities. Provide support to Medical Sciences Activities partnering with R&D and other departments or other need states.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 6 to 8 years of professional business experience

  • Broad experience in the pharmaceutical industry including medical affairs and clinical research, scientific engagement/advocacy, medical information.

  • Excellent communication skills, including spoken and written English.

  • Ability to understand the business context and environment and experience working closely with commercial business partners and stakeholders

  • Up to 25% travel is required

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD)

  • Experience working in the Consumer Healthcare OTC environment is preferred

  • Experience in regulatory interactions with Health Canada is preferred

  • Experience working with Canadian labeling is preferred

  • Experience in managing medical information systems and processes is preferred

  • Experience providing scientific support to brand marketing is preferred
