Job Title: Supply Chain SpecialistJob Description

The Production Control Specialist (Supply Chain Specialist) is responsible for production planning and production status management activities at our client's facility.

Responsibilities

• Ordering and transportation of parts to be purchased from Japan

• Ordering and transportation of parts to be purchased from North America

• Production planning

• Execution of production planning and final product inventory activities

• Execution of parts and materials arrangement planning and parts inventory plans

• Execution of Procurement-Campus Delivery logistic planning

• Promoting new project preparation activities

• Creating strategies that effectively utilize lean business resources and achieve company objectives

• Communicating and presenting strategies to leaders inside and outside the company

• Developing and maintaining good project management plans

• Reporting progress in a timely manner and determining next steps action plans

• Developing individual gap analysis to help HR create development plans

Essential Skills

• 3 years or more experience in Production Planning/Management or Procurement

• Experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain within the manufacturing space

• Experience managing end-to-end communication with 3+ suppliers at one time

• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment (specifically larger, more complex automotive)

• Experience in a cross-cultural working environment

• Experience in Japanese companies

• Experience in an international/foreign global company

• Familiarity with automotive standards/tools (ISO/IATF, Control Plan, and APQP)

• Familiarity with problem-solving, waste/loss prevention methods, and setup time improvement

• Able to travel to other locations for extended business and training (up to 1 month)

• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as directed

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree desirable

• Good level of knowledge in lean production concepts such as OEE, KANBAN, FIFO, BOM

• Experienced in operation time study

• Capability to flexibly respond to changes in the company’s direction

• Effective oral and written communication skills

Work Environment

The work environment is a very large, well-maintained warehouse facility with adjacent office space. The role involves working in both spaces.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
