Sanitation Manager
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Responsible for Sanitation at the Marion Plant. Responsible for | | overseeing and coordinating all sanitation activities within our | | facility to ensure a clean and safe working environment. The | | Sanitation Manager is responsible for the sanitary condition of the | | manufacturing facility, meeting industry standard GMPs and supporting | | applicable audit requirements. In addition, the Sanitation Manager | | will develop, monitor, maintain, and improve facility sanitation | | programs by identifying issues affecting efficiency and food safety | | and driving continuous improvements. | | | | | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | - Develops, implements, monitors, and audits sanitation procedures | | and protocols to maintain cleanliness and compliance with health | | and safety regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices | | (GMPs). | | - Conducts regular inspections of the equipment and facility to | | identify areas in need of cleaning or maintenance. | | - Manages and trains sanitation staff to applicable Sanitation | | Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) to ensure they follow | | proper protocols and procedures. | | - Coordinates with other departments to schedule sanitation | | activities to minimize disruption to operations, including | | coordinating with Quality & Food Safety on scheduling sanitation | | inspections. | | - Ensures completion and enhancement of Master Sanitation Schedule | | and other sanitation-related documentation to comply with | | applicable regulations and audit requirements. | | - Ensures that chemicals are used appropriately, and sanitarians | | are using the correct PPE for chemicals and the tasks performed. | | - Monitors inventory of cleaning chemical inventory, titration | | kits, cleaning tools and utensils, and other sanitation-related | | supplies. | | - Responds to sanitation-related emergencies or incidents as they | | arise. | | - Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that are in effect | | for the respective area. | | - Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains | | regular work attendance. | | - Performs other duties as assigned. | | | | | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Bachelor's degree or significant sanitation-related work experience.
- 10 years of management and food experience preferred.
- Knowledge of sanitation regulations and best practices.
- Expertise in design and implementation of new processes/procedures.
- bility to work weekend schedules and agility to adjust schedule as required to meet facility sanitation needs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently to meet daily deadlines and objectives.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to utilize effective interpersonal skills to communicate and positively influence team members.
- Ability to analyze numbers, determine trends, and make recommendations.
- Must be able to motivate and energize others to work toward the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with senior management, outside consultants, suppliers, and associates.
- Ability to successfully collaborate with support functions such as EHS, Quality, Maintenance, Production, Inventory.
- Physical ability to lift, stand, climb, bend, etc.
