Job Title: Cleanroom Technician
Job Description
As a Cleanroom Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and preparing materials for production operations, performing sanitation on equipment and production areas, and maintaining accurate records. You will also be required to understand and follow safety and GMP guidelines, inspect equipment for maintenance needs, and transport materials as needed. This role requires positive interactions with other departments, organizing materials according to standards, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
Inspect and prepare reels, boxes, and pallets for production operations.
Perform sanitation on equipment, infrastructure, and production areas.
Record and maintain accurate written and electronic information.
Follow safety, GMP, food safety, and other rules or policies.
Inspect infrastructure and equipment and notify management when maintenance is required.
Move and transport product and materials by hand, cart, or lift as needed.
Conduct positive interactions with other departments.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
Open bales, crates, and other containers.
Box, wrap, and pack products in accordance with procedures and standards.
Record all damaged items received.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
Stack finished goods on pallets and use machines to wrap finished pallets.
Perform required inspections of finished products.
Complete employee and vendor/supplier interactions with respect and integrity.
Daily usage of ERP system to move product/materials.
Train other employees based on acquired knowledge.
Support and follow company values.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience in warehouse, packaging, loading, unloading, production, and labor.
Experience with forklift operation and machine operation.
Knowledge of cleanroom and manufacturing processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Forklift certification preferred, or 6+ months of experience.
Previous experience with inventory, data entry, and computer usage.
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.

Work Environment
Our Client manufactures the plastic zippers found inside food bags, adhering to strict GMP guidelines. The environment is very clean and climate-controlled with air conditioning in the summer. The dress code includes provided uniforms and shoes, with a requirement to wear hair nets and beard nets if needed. Jewelry and cell phones are not allowed. Work hours are Monday to Friday with shifts from 6-2 (1st shift), 2-10 (2nd shift), and 10-6 (3rd shift). There is an opening on the 2nd shift, which includes a paid break, with an additional 10-minute paid break for shifts longer than 10-12 hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marion, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00
