Donegal Mutual Insurance Co. Data Warehouse Developer in MARIETTA, Pennsylvania
DUTIES: Coordinate with the Analytics department on requests, planning, and execution of all data related activities. Ensure all stories in the planned sprint are updated with respect to time and activities. Resolve technical issues that the team may have in achieving the timed deliverables. Meet with Business and update status on deliveries and coordinate with business next set of deliverables. Review and approve all design and requirements that are required for deliverable requests. Attend daily Agile/Scrum Master meetings to review daily activities, including that all team members are on planned targets and assist with resolution of issues. Coordinate with team leaders for resource planning or required interactions with the teams. Use the Guidewire Policy, Claim, and Billing application to map business requirements to data warehouse tables/fields. Transform business language to stored values in the data warehouse tables/fields. Use typical business formulas of the insurance industry for loss ratio, premium growth, quote to issue percentage. Resolve coding issues by reading code and applying business use cases to verify if code needs modifications or data is wrong. Troubleshoot, configure, or build solutions using the native languages of Oracle PL/SQL, Microsoft's SSIS, or ANSI-SQL as required. Prioritize solution sets using Stony Branch Universal Automation Scheduler for nightly scheduling with appropriate dependencies. 40% remote work permitted.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Management or a related industry field. 3 years of experience using PL/SQL and SQL Server. Experience must include 2 years of experience using Universal Automation Scheduler; 6 months of experience with Guidewire Applications; 6 months of software development experience in the insurance industry; and 6 months of experience with Agile project planning. 40% remote work permitted.
