Pay Rate:$18.00/per hour. Overtime available for 40+ hour weeks

Overview:As a Co-Op on the NDI team at ATS, you will have the opportunity to partner with our team to support the NDI division. The Co-Op is going to include direct hands-on general tasks related to NDI. Co-Ops are generally available in place of Spring or Fall semesters.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with leaders and other NDI Technicians on general tasks related to the team.
Opportunity to learn and apply the industry NDI methods and gain hands on experience.
Perform tasks as directed in order to prepare components or equipment for inspections.
Work alongside certified technicians to help complete projects and learn activities.
Interface with personnel to determine scope of work and work priorities in order to meet customer expectations.
Help clean and organize equipment before, during, and at the completion of projects.
Document on job training experience as assigned by management.
Perform other job related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Travel/Duration:Required (1 to 6 weeks) depending on available work.
Schedule:Part-time. Up to 70 hours per 7-day work week.
Work Environment:Most work will be completed in an industrial environment including, but not limited to papermills, power generation, and manufacturing facilities. Both classroom and hands-on NDI training provided throughout the duration of the program.
Work Conditions:
Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.

Tuition:Full reimbursement available for in-state tuition and books for 1 semester for each full outage season completed (grades dependent).
Qualifications
Requirements
Must be a Full-time Engineering Student, ideally in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil, Structural, Material Sciences or other similar Bachelor’s program.
Strong interest in the NDI industry.
Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.
Able to travel throughout the United States.
