Lockheed Martin EAM Data & GIS Engineering Asc Mgr in Marietta, Georgia

Description: This Full Spectrum Leadership (FSL) position is a first line manager of employees with different disciplines working with LM Aeronautics under a large 2.5M and long standing 11+ years IWTA. These employees are based in Marietta Ga, Ft. Worth Texas, Palmdale Ca. and virtual. 25% Travel is required for this position to the major sites in Palmdale, Marietta and Ft. Worth and other designated sites. It is required that the manager for this position is visible to Aero leadership at all designated sites.

The disciplines in the organization are engineering records analysts, drafters both LM employees and 6 Aero contractors, Projectwise systems administrators, GIS software and project engineers, configuration management analysts all supporting organically LM Aero Facility and Plant Engineering.

The selected candidate will be expected to maintain a technical role within the LM Aero F&PE Team.in addition to assuming the additional leadership responsibilities of Associate Manager. and will be expected to be the strong leadership advocate for continuously improving the performance of the data management and GIS group and provides solutions to the Aero Customer as requested

The Assoc. Manager will work closely with the Engineering and Science Manager, and the Aero Facility and Engineering Sr. Program manager and his deputy and serve as the day to day POC for this IWTA.

The Associate Manager will provides detailed metrics on group performance and on EAM and GIS activities on a monthly, semi annually and annual basis to both LM Aero Customer and Space Leadership.

Manager’s operational and programmatic responsibilities include:

• Review of the organization’s operations and technical performance to ensure the team meets program contractual requirements and goals. This includes completion of engineering milestones, delivery dates and Aero Customer’s requests.

• Direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of all work within the organization.

• Identify program risks and opportunities provide recommendations to the Engineering and Science Manager and other entities within the GFES organization.

• Lead team collection and review of all organizations metrics including identified process improvements, efficiency initiatives and affordability plans.

• Participate in the preparation of all program reporting mechanisms, e.g. Technical Highlights, WARs, Site Status, etc.

• Prepare, participate in and present at customer management forums to include Program Management Reviews.

• Participate in the preparation of ROMs, ECPs, BOEs, review of SOWs and terms and conditions.

• Perform all required functional management tasks such as but not limited:

• Employee feedback and assessment under Atlas Perform

• Recommendations for compensation based upon employee performance

• Direction of all employee training, scheduling and charging

• Review and approval of employee timecards and time keeping

• Allocation of charge numbers and written direction to employees for charge numbers as a written Work Authorization Document

• Approval for employee requests for time off, holidays and PTO

• Approval for all employee system permissions, hardware and software tools.

• Update of the GRID system for workforce planning actions

• Identification of personnel for Next Gen Awards

• Interaction and action with employees on degree programs and tuition reimbursement

Basic Qualifications:

Demonstrated Full Spectrum Leader competencies; successful leadership of a team or project. Ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams to achieve cost, schedule and technical goals.

• Exceptional interpersonal communication and formal presentation skills, including the ability to establish positive relationships with customer, teammates, subcontractors and Space CTA leadership at all levels.

• Strong system engineering, analytical, and problem solving skills in a team environment.

• Strong knowledge of EAM Data Management processes

• Strong knowledge of EAM Data Management utilization of Aero Engineering Facility and Plant Engineering Artifacts

• Strong knowledge GIS systems, projects, and support to LM Aeronautics

• Strong knowledge of plantametrics, space planning and engineering drawing delivery

• Strong knowledge of Bentley Projectwise EPDM technologies data attribution and processes

• Strong knowledge of LM Buildings and Area Control Drawings

• Strong knowledge of Maximo asset management data management

• Strong knowledge of LM Aero Facility Service Request Closeout Process

• Strong knowledge of asset data artifacts and their curation

• Strong knowledge of LM Aeronautics and Facility and Plant Engineering organization and priorities

Desired Skills:

Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.

Desired skills

• Experience with ROMs, ECPs, BOEs, etc.

• Record of effectively interacting with senior LM and customer personnel on significant technical and programmatic matters, often requiring coordination between organizations.

• Excellent communications skills

• Knowledge of Risk Management

• Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
