This is a hybrid role being onsite in Maple Plain, MN on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The Human Resources Generalist II is responsible for independently performing comprehensive HR support. This position leads the execution of the day-to-day responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance. You will: Advise managers on legal guidelines for hiring, managing, disciplining, and evaluating employee performance. Assist with the buy-in and implementation of processes of organizational change initiatives and HR programs. Assists in employee relations counseling and exit interviews. Facilitate the performance management process by supporting both managers and employees. Support the administration and implementation of the annual merit increase and talent planning process. May facilitate orientation, onboarding, and training activities. May assist with the recruitment and selection process including job requisitions, job postings, setting up interviews, interviewing, and collecting interview feedback. Lead the leave management and accommodation processes. Participate in initial data intake and analysis for compensation requests. Responsible for maintaining accurate employee records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Lead employee engagement activities and programs Ensure compliance with Human Resources policies, procedures, requirements, and applicable legal regulations. Perform additional tasks as assigned. About you: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS applications and analytics Excellent planning, problem solving, prioritizing and business partnering skills. Advanced knowledge of employment law Ability to influence and successfully implement organizational changes Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment Able to work with confidential information Demonstrates Proto Labs Values of Teamwork, Achievement and Trust. Education requirements: Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field with 4+ years of HR experience Bonus points: HR certification (SPHR or PHR) a plus Proto Labs maintains ITAR-compliant operations in all of our United States based facilities.
