Job Description

CAT5e and CAT6 copper solution installation

Install CCTV, Paging, Fire Alarm devices

Fiber optic cable solution installation

Installation of Fire Alarm and Security systems

Pulling cable, fire stopping, dressing cables, and labeling to industry standards

Terminating CAT5e jacks, CAT6 jacks, coaxial and fiber optic connectors

Accurately testing copper and fiber optic cables to industry standard utilizing appropriate test equipment

Troubleshooting and repairing copper and fiber optic cables

Read and understand blueprints to determine closet and equipment layout

Skills and Requirements

Ideally 2 years of experience installing copper and fiber optic cabling systems including staging materials and planning the execution of work, pathways, pulling cable, terminations (fiber and copper), testing and troubleshooting

Ability to work extended hours (overtime) as needed

Reliable daily travel to work-sites

Must be able to work safely following company policy/procedures on safety

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds

Ability to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, and work in aerial lifts NICET Certification

Experience in fire alarm and security systems null
