Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team based in Maple Grove, Minnesota. The role involves providing financial information to management through research, analysis of accounting data, and preparation of reports. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in our finance team, managing aspects of the month-end close process and dealing with complex accounting topics.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently on assignments of moderate to complex scope, exercising judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

• Create and monitor a system of controls in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

• Prepare procedures, forms for the recording of inventory, and conduct periodic reviews of the inventory subledger.

• Prepare and record intercompany eliminations.

• Prepare quarterly, annual, and ad hoc SEC reporting.

• Prepare monthly lease accounting adjustments and update schedule with current and modified leases.

• Coordinate with external auditors and accountants, preparing schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits.

• Prepare work papers in accordance with ASC 606 and related monthly/quarterly journal entries.

• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

• Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.

• Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.

• Document, prepare, and post entries to the general ledger, participate in the monthly close process and reconciliations.

• Assist in analyzing and understanding month-end results.

• Prepare and implement audit schedules and process re-engineering to reduce financial errors.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports with variance explanations.

• Assist in documenting processes and policies.

• Apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX). Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar position

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Solid understanding of general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes

• Experience with journal entries preparation and posting

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

• Familiarity with financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP

• Knowledge of company revenue recognition principles is essential

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines

• Knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting standards.
