Boston Scientific Senior Manager, Process Engineering- Coronary Therapies and Interventional Heart in Maple Grove, Minnesota

About the role: As part of the Maple Grove Process Development team, this position's primary responsibilities include leading a team of process engineers in advancing new products, processes, and technologies across one or more divisions. You will oversee the development and management of the resources and processes required to ensure functional excellence and delivery of robust, scalable, high-quality manufacturing processes to divisional and operations customers. You will provide strategic input into departmental, divisional, and BSC plant network initiatives. You will be tasked with building, developing and empowering a strong team capable of fulfilling multi-project and multi-customer needs for the business. This role will focus on building effective partnerships across functions and geographic locations in order to drive successful execution of key programs. This role will require occasional travel (15%-20%, domestic & international) at times in order to support development and transfer activities at various geographic locations. This particular role is focused on the diverse and highly dynamic Coronary Therapies (CT) and Interventional Heart Failure (IHF) franchises within the ICTx division. Your responsibilities include: Lead teams in the achievement of organizational goals.Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports, and if applicable, drive those practices throughout their organization. Lead engineering teams to develop highly capable, scalable, and robust manufacturing processes, and successfully transfer into operations. Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing teams to create innovative and manufacturable product designs. Manage a team within the United States, while also partnering with teams in Ireland and Costa Rica. Ensure knowledge driven approach to process & product development, and that functional excellence is exhibited in all product and technology development projects. Drive technical projects of significant magnitude and scope. Work is expected to result in the delivery of new or refined technologies, products, processes, materials, equipment, that enable growth in BSC's portfolio in key strategic areas. Develop detailed work plans, budgets, objectives, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Monitor & troubleshoot performance and schedule issues, support & enable team to achieve objectives. Make decisions regarding work processes or operational plans and schedules in order to achieve department objectives. Recruit, coach, develop organizational talent. May be responsible for providing direction and/or guidance to exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.May supervise non-exempt employees. Ensure compliance to company policies & procedures, and regulatory compliance to GMP's of all medical device regulatory agencies (e.g. FDA, BSI, ISO, EEO, MDR). Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC's Quality Pol cy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 7+ years related work experience; or Master's degree 5+ years of related experience. 5+ years' experience as a leader of technical people. Proven leadership and management of a technical group providing coaching and development. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 10+ years related work experience; or Master's degree 7+ years of related experience. Team oriented approach to projects thatdrives collaboration & execution across the business. Experience leading teams in developing and transferring manufacturing processes and/or production lines throughout a global network. Track record of developing new technologies and processes that excite customers. Working knowledge of Boston Scientific therapies and products. Experience working on development programs that span a wide range of functional and geographical reach. Vision to see what technologies are going to be needed in the future and ability to get them started with little oversight or guidance.
