Responsibilities Hours for this role are primarily Monday - Friday, 830a-5p Compensation for this role starts at $19.75 and up based on experience The Residential Admissions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day of admissions process for each resident. Admission responsibilities include responsibility for all communication and contact internally and externally involved in admitting a new resident. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Provide information as needed to families and referral sources, obtain releases of information, complete all required admissions documentation as assigned, complete admissions screens, and follow with families within one week of admission to answer any questions and provide updates as needed. Collaborate with utilization review team providing information for insurance authorizations. Complete Single Case Agreements (SCAs) and obtain County Contracts (CC) when applicable. Collaborate with Financial Counselors to provide financial counseling for residents, guarantors, families, providers, and staff to help them better understand insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits. Utilize Excel and Word programs to track and graph data related to referrals, funding, census, and other data. Provide high quality client and customer experience throughout entire process. Work with and juggle multiple schedules, demands and duties at one time. Assist with other administrative duties related to residential programming and outreach as assigned by Clinical Operations Director This position will require two scheduled shifts on the unit for milieu coverage. Ability to represent self and organization in a professional and knowledgeable manner is critical. Collaborate with entire residential team to provide a therapeutic environment for clients. Must demonstrate psychological mindedness and self-awareness in understanding client behaviors and needs in all interactions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field required One year experience working in mental-health field required Minimum of one year experience working with insurance companies, patient benefits/accounts and/or claims resolution Must have computer skills using Microsoft Office Products including Word and Outlook Must have knowledge of DSM-IV criteria, and possess interviewing and assessment skills Display a professional attitude in all aspects of his/her performance Oriented and educated in gender, cultural differences and in age appropriate care for psychiatric and chemical dependency services Must possess skills to communicate clearly and effectively Flexibility to work occasional evening hours PrairieCare is a psychiatric healthcare system experiencing rapid growth in the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota.
