We have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Operations Specialist. The successful candidate will help provide high quality legal and executive administrative assistance, customer service, and functional support to the vice president and general counsel and the legal division staff. Ensures effective and efficient administrative processes are maintained and coordinated with other support staff. Key responsibilities: Word processes all legal department documents at the highest level, consistent with the standards of the nation s largest law firms. Supports eDiscovery function under the direction of the legal department lead. Performs administrative tasks such as special filings/mailings, maintain calendars, coordinate travel arrangements, schedule and coordinate meeting logistics, file record retention, onboard legal employees, take meeting minutes, participate on the administrative professional team, etc. Performs basic legal research, drafting of legal and business communications. Prepares, types, and proofreads legal papers, correspondence, reports, and other materials, such as contracts, briefs, etc. Works closely with division leaders to build relationships with customers. Prepares the legal division reports for the board report. Coordinates the recurring preparation of the division work plans and provides quarterly status updates.
