ManpowerGroup Facilities Technician III in Maple Grove, Minnesota

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader within the medical device industry for a Facilities Technician III.

Title: Facilities Technician III

Location: Maple Grove, MN

Compensation: $29 /hour (DOE)

Type of Position: Contract to Hire

Job Summary

This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks across the assembly floor and facility, as well as completing prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery, buildings, and grounds as required. The technician is responsible for properly documenting repair activities in compliance with GMP and OSHA regulations. Additionally, they must be capable of supervising and directing projects from planning to completion. Strong communication skills are essential, as the technician will interact with customers and employees while also taking direction from their supervisor on assigned tasks.

Essential Functions Include:

  • Perform preventative maintenance of facility equipment

  • Address facility improvement and repair requests in a timely manner

  • Assist with construction projects and directing service contractors

  • Conduct Facility safety and cleanliness inspections, conducting safety training for new hires, and responding to safety/emergency situations

  • Complete and document all facilities tasks per required GMP’s

  • Respond to and resolve after hour and weekend emergency issues

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required – Technical degree preferred

  • Six years of related experience is required without a degree

  • Four years of related experience is required with a degree

  • HVAC or Carpentry experience preferred.

Preferred Skills & Abilities:

• Advanced knowledge of common facility equipment maintenance

• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems

• Advanced blue prints and schematics skills

• Ability to develop and manage projects using appropriate project management skills and techniques

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Good computer skills required, including MS Office

• Basic electronic CAD software skills

  • Valid Minnesota driver’s license

  • Access to reliable, on-demand transportation to perform duties at multiple sites during work hours and after hours/weekends
