The Plastics Industrial Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership and supervision to the maintenance production team engaged in the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of plastics injection and blow molding production equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring safety, quality, and maximum production efficiencies to support the manufacturing facility's overall OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) goals.

Requirements:

• Associate's Degree

• 5-7 years of experience within the plastics manufacturing industry.

• Experience with electrical troubleshooting and repair.

• At least one year of experience leading/supervising in a manufacturing operation.

• Previous experience working in a Lean environment is preferred.

• Outstanding organizational and planning skills.

responsibilities:

• Oversee, plan, and issue work orders to appropriate shift team members for equipment modifications, and preventative, and corrective maintenance.

• Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with production and scheduling departments as necessary.

• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment on the floor.

• Enforce plant rules, monitor attendance, and provide corrective action (discipline) as necessary.

• Generate maintenance logs and documents related to operating metrics such as OEE.

• Conduct safety inspections, examine tools/equipment, and facilitate safety training to prevent, identify, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of safety procedures and rules.

• Prepare purchase requisitions for materials and supplies such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts. Maintain spare parts inventory as needed.

• Interface with vendors and suppliers to discuss products used in repair work and/or projects.

• Participate in Lean Manufacturing practices such as Six Sigma, 5S, FMEA, and 8D Problem Analysis.

• Foster a positive working environment and drive the maintenance team to meet productivity targets and performance standards.

• Review the location's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to recommend improvements for plant operations, OEE, and maintenance problem resolution.

• Plan and coordinate the installation and removal of plant equipment.

• Ensure maintenance employees are properly trained in all aspects of their jobs, including safety, quality, and production. Recommend and coordinate any safety and technical training.

• Serve as a backup to the Maintenance Manager when they are not available.
