Job Title: Sheet Metal Foreman

Job Description

The Sheet Metal Foreman will possess extensive knowledge of various architectural sheet metal products and systems. This role requires advanced planning skills to ensure maximum productivity of the workforce, materials, and equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written, are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and supervise the installation of various architectural sheet metal products and systems.

  • Ensure maximum productivity of workforce, materials, and equipment.

  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents.

  • Represent the company in a professional manner, promoting a positive and productive environment.

  • Identify and resolve problems efficiently.

  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring follow-through to completion.

  • Prioritize tasks and maintain a sense of urgency to accomplish goals in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of architectural sheet metal products and systems.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and regulations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; effective oral and written communication.

  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Advanced planning skills.

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other computer applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 5-8 years of related experience and/or training.

  • Working knowledge of blueprint reading and specifications.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • Comfortable working at heights.

  • Available for occasional travel and extended hours when necessary.

Work Environment

The physical demands of this role include sitting, using hands to handle or feel, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, talking, and hearing. Employees are also required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel. The job involves frequently lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds.
