The CDS Senior Accounting Coordinator is a supervisory, full-time position with day time hours. The CDS Senior Accounting Coordinator is responsible for leading the accounts payable team in understanding and implementing vendor claims and reimbursements required for the Client Directed Services (CDS) program. This position assists to maintain a strong customer-focused culture with the accounts payable team, ensures that vendor claims and reimbursements are processed correctly and efficiently, and issues related to processing to vendor claims and reimbursements are resolved. This position also performs financial reporting and analysis. In this position, you will: Review, revise and develop policies, procedures and efficiencies for the accounts payable processes. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting team responsible for vendor claims and reimbursements, accurate and timely processing. Ensure each vendor claims and reimbursements are processed accurately and are free from errors with appropriate budget approval and signatures. Oversee vendor claims and reimbursements issue identification and resolution. Assist with high level accounting practices related to vendor claims and reimbursements, payroll and billing. Support month-end and year-end close process. Balance accounts and analyze related trends and variances. Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with MRCI s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Work with minimal supervision and makes decisions based on an understanding of the programs administered to by MRCI-CDS, of DHS rules and regulation and of county guidelines for financial management of federal, state and county funds. Recognize that customer service and customer satisfaction is an integral part of the CDS program, and promotes systems that assure appropriate and timely service, and maintains a strong customer-focused culture. Maintain strict confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations. Assist CDS Controller on special projects, as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
