Under direct supervision is responsible for participating in the Parker Engineering Intern Development program to learn the various aspects of the engineering function.
Acquire knowledge of various engineering department’s operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflow
Observe work assignments performed by others and actively participate in hands-on projects and/or special assignments
Must be able to work effectively on a variety of engineering and manufacturing assignments
Use engineering skills to conduct analysis and modeling, engage in product design, and develop and execute testing procedures
Participate in the facility’s engineering work
Maintain communication with program coach/mentor (as assigned) to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements
Qualifications
High School diplomas or GED
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in a related engineering field, such as: Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical
Previous internship experience preferred
Basic computer skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CAD systems, such as AutoCAD, ProE, etc.
