Investor Relations (IR) & Corporate Strategy provides a rare opportunity to get a full overview of SPC's business, strategy, and provides an opportunity to build a broad network across businesses and functions within and outside the company.

Working in IR and Corporate Strategy drives the development of cohesive and integrated strategy that will enable SPC to achieve required financial performance and fair market valuation. The company’s strategy and performance are then communicated with local/international investors and analysts, ensuring that all shareholders have timely and uniform access to official announcements, disclosures and market-sensitive information relating to the Company.

What's the role?

Your accountabilities as an Investor Relations and Corporate Strategy Manager will include:

  • Work closely with the SPC Board, Corporate Secretary and External Relations in implementing an IR program and corresponding communications policy in coordination with Legal and External Relations departments, that reaches out to all shareholders, regulators (SEC/PSE) and the broader community of investors, providing them with timely, accurate and relevant information on the company’s activities, and regular (quarterly) updates on financial/operational results.

  • In consultation with SPC CFO, assume role as deputy spokesperson to the investment community, complying with regulatory requirements at all times when interacting with the investment community.

  • Provide feedback to Board and management about shareholders’ sentiments, analysts’ feedback, and developments in the capital market.

  • Responsible for receiving and responding to investor and shareholder queries. Supports SPC management team during meetings with shareholders. Oversees most aspects of the Company’s shareholder meetings, press conferences, investor briefings, IR portion of the Company’s website and the preparation of the Company’s Annual Sustainability Report (ASR).

  • Prepares selected external statements (questions & answers) related to financial results and strategy for use by SPC management team. Supports External Relations in responding to complex financial questions from external Media stakeholders.

  • Lead and coordinate development of an integrated strategy that is credible, competitive and affordable that will enable SPC achieve financial resilience, deliver compelling returns, and promote cross business alignment.

  • Ensures timely implementation of the strategies through high quality communication and stakeholder engagement.

  • Working with Finance, provide regular and timely appraisal of performance against strategy and propose actions to close the gap.

  • Hold regular engagements with mid to senior level stakeholders to achieve the necessary alignment in corporate strategy and narrative.

What we need from you

We are keen to explore individuals who have the following:

  • Experience and Qualifications required Degree in the areas of Business, Finance, or Economics.

  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with financial markets and the investment community (e.g., buy-/sell-side analysts, institutional investors, fund managers and private retail shareholders).

  • Strong technical knowledge, analytical skills and experience to be able to interpret financial reports.

  • Preferably with prior exposure in oil markets with ability to analyze competitive environment and expected competitor responses, thinking innovatively about new and different alternatives to achieve strategic objectives.

  • Strong leadership capability, excellent communication and interpersonal skills including ability to deliver results under pressure.

  • Strong collaboration, business partnering, influencing and communication skills to move the business forward and to drive execution.

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight and competing deadlines. Delivery in this role requires analysis and interpretation of complex financial and operational information of downstream business and development of a thorough understanding of the drivers for SPCs earnings and cash flow.
