RELX INC Data Analyst II in Manila, Philippines
The role of the Data Analyst is to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive informed business decisions. The Data Analyst will collect, process, and analyze data, identify trends and patterns in the UK&I Insurance business and communicate findings through reports and visualizations, ensuring stakeholders have the information they need to make strategic and operational decisions.
Accountabilities
Create creative data visualizations to effectively communicate key information to our stakeholders
Devising and implementing solutions for linking and maintain multiple distinct databases
Work with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate these into technical requirements.
Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business teams to ensure data solutions meet business needs and technical standards.
Maintain thorough documentation of reports and associated data sources
Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance and identify areas for improvement
Perform ad-hoc data analysis as required to support specific business questions or projects.
Provide support to the analytics team members
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
Preferred Academic Background: Bachelor’s Degree Mathematics/Science
Knowledge of and hands on experience with data visualization tools, which includes a minimum of 2 years of experience in data visualization / management (Power BI preferred)
Strong expertise in data visualization and optimizing user experiences – a passion and flair for good design
Ability to write intermediate MS SQL queries
Highly proficient in Power BI, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication and relationship building skills – comfortable presenting to and engaging with senior audiences, discovering and defining requirements
Strong analytical, quantitative, and deductive reasoning skills
Enjoy solving complex problems and have excellent problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
Ability to work with leadership teams to translate data into action steps and reporting solutions
Willing and able to work on a flexible shift to meet business needs
