Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster, LTD Accountant in Manheim, Pennsylvania

Summary/Objective:

Under the supervision of the Director of Financial Accounting, the Accountant will perform journal entries relating to daily accounts receivable deposits and perform daily reconciliation of cash deposits in billing system.  Assist with the posting of journal entries and preparation of the financial statements. Will also assist with daily cash posting from banking system and bi-weekly payroll processing.

  • Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
  • Assists with accounting-related projects.
  • Posts daily cash receipts into accounting system.
  • Responsible for monthly inter-company invoicing or as necessary.
  • Remits quarterly sales and use tax return.
  • Assists with yearly 1099 filing.
  • Assists with yearly CAM (common area maintenance) budget.
  • Assists with biweekly payroll processing in Paycom.
  • Assists with year-end review.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the accounting field.
  • Must possess proficient Microsoft Office skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently, making good use of time and resources.
  • Must possess professional and effective communication skills and be able to promote effective communication at all levels.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • An Associate's Degree in Accounting or related business degree is preferred.
  • Experience using a payroll system, such as Paycom.
  • Excellent working knowledge of IRS 1099 filing and PA Unclaimed Property filings.
  • Four (4) + years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
