About the role

Food Service Manager will be responsible for successful delivery of food service programs as aligned with the Food Director. Manages the day-to-day efforts related to food service programming, lunch catering, micro kitchens, and design, and close out for on any dedicated account. Ensures day to day operations of catering lunches and micro kitchens and any unique projects within budget, on schedule and meeting all client objectives and appropriate client and governance. Also, be the liaison between the client/users and any other participants including consultants, contractors, vendors and outside jurisdictional agencies.

What you’ll do

Leading all aspects of daily operation of North American and Canada lunch catering programs. Ensures all vendors are serving quality food that meets the clients’ guidelines. Manages relationship with client locations and vendors ensuring and maintaining foodservice expectations.

Maintain quality and control of micro kitchens to established pars and menus. Work directly with micro kitchen vendors on budget maintenance and goals. Ensure all micro kitchens are meeting client standards and guidelines.

Partners with Foodservice director on any new projects and complete project specific and client driven goals, schedules, budgets, strategy, and detailed assumptions with methodology for accomplishing and/or handling goals and objectives.

  • Maintains goals and success criteria that meet both CBRE and Client needs.

  • Build and maintain rapport with client representatives and ensure that the scope of service and outside business forces affecting foodservice is fully understood and that specific results are fully understood with performance standards and other relevant criteria.

  • Coordinate any task due diligence efforts on behalf of the internal team, project partners, clients and/or end users, maintaining and delivering all appropriate documentation.

  • Maintains a budget spend based on client budget in clearly defined set of budget assumptions.

  • Act as the primary contact with the foodservice vendors.

What you’ll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

  • HS Diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience (equivalent work experience = 2 years experience for every year of higher level education). Or a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or other relevant vocational training preferred.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of related (e.g. micro kitchens, corp food service, live entertainment) roles preferred.

  • Able to travel 75% within the US and Canada.

  • Apply a high level of attention to detail as well as strong interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, OneNote, Outlook, etc.

  • Strong problem-solving skills. Highly adaptable and flexible.

  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull and frequently lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift/move up to 40 lbs.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Food Program Lead position is $140,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Food Program Lead position is $170,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
