rAbout This Role:
The Department of Entomology at Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS, is looking to hire a full-time Program/Project Coordinator with extensive beekeeping experience and knowledge to support the implementation of daily operations associated with our American Honey Institute (http://www.entomology.ksu.edu/honey). This position is also responsible for coordinating and maintaining the necessary training assets for our multi-level beekeeping courses and honey production efforts.
Worksite Options:
This position is required to be performed on-site. Work is performed on employer premises or designated assignment location.

What You\'ll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s Degree
- This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master Beekeeper Certificate.
- Experience working with a commercial beekeeper and completion of an approved apprenticeship training program and/or a minimum of 5 years of beekeeping experience.
- Energetic with endurance.
- Team Player with ability to fit in with disparate personalities and groups.
Other Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Kansas Class C Driver\'s License within 90 days of employment.
- Basic familiarity with Microsoft Business Tools and ability to learn supporting programs such as Quick books and WIX.
- Ability to conduct field work in remote locations.
- Ability to work under adverse conditions for long and irregular hours,
- Must be capable of wearing a bee suit in high/extreme temperatures (excess of 105 degrees).
- Ability to cope with stress.
- Highly organized and able to perform in a professional manner
- Ability to stay oriented on task.
- Ability to provide clear two-way communications.
- Ability to deal with emergencies in a timely manner.
- Portray a positive attitude.
