Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in MANHASSET, New York. This role is within the industry and involves responsibilities such as billing, invoicing, spreadsheet paperwork, and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of billing and invoicing to ensure accuracy and timeliness

• Conduct bank reconciliations regularly to verify transactions and prevent discrepancies

• Maintain and update spreadsheets for record-keeping and analysis

• Interact with accounts payable to ensure smooth financial operations

• Ensure all financial paperwork is properly filed and organized for easy access and retrieval

• Analyze financial data and create reports for management review

• Utilize accounting software for data entry and management

• Implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency

• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding account status and updates

• Stay updated with latest industry trends and best practices in accounting. Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Demonstrable experience in Accounting or a similar role is preferred.

• Proficiency in Billing is essential.

• Proficiency in using Spreadsheets for data organization and financial analysis is required.

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is necessary.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and legislation.

• Proficiency in accounting software, databases, and systems.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify errors.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is a plus.

• Adherence to confidentiality and high ethical standards.
